Gaucho Tower

Gaucho Tower, or Torre del Gaucho, is a striking 24-story high-rise located in the Cordón neighborhood of Montevideo, Uruguay. Standing at 95 meters tall, it dominates the local skyline at the intersection of 18 de Julio Avenue and Constituyente Avenue. The tower is named after a nearby monument honoring the gaucho, a symbol of Uruguayan culture. Designed by architect Walter Pintos Risso, the building was initiated in 1974 and completed in 1995. It also features a radio antenna utilized by various stations, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in urban architecture and cultural heritage.
