Majestic Theatre - atmospheric interior installation

The Majestic Theatre, which opened in 1929, is an ornate atmospheric-style performance palace in downtown San Antonio with a ceiling painted to resemble a starlit night sky and elaborate Spanish Baroque interior ornamentation. It was built as a vaudeville and movie palace and today hosts concerts, Broadway touring productions, and other performances, preserving its historic interior installation features. The theatre is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an important example of early 20th-century theater design in Texas.
