Dom Tower of Utrecht

The Dom Tower, standing at 112.32 meters, is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands and a prominent symbol of Utrecht. Originally part of St. Martin's Cathedral, its construction spanned from 1321 to 1382, but the cathedral was never fully completed. The tower features a remarkable carillon with 50 bells, including the largest medieval bell in the country. Visitors can climb 465 steps for panoramic views, and the tower also serves as a unique wedding venue. The surrounding Domplein Square commemorates the cathedral's unfinished nave, and the tower has undergone restorations to preserve its historical significance.
