Carnell Estate

Carnell Estate is a historic mansion located near Hurlford in East Ayrshire, Scotland, approximately 25 miles from Glasgow. Dating back to 1276, the estate spans 2000 acres of gardens, woodlands, and farmland. The current house, built in 1843 by architect William Burn, features earlier structures from the 15th century. The estate has been home to the Findlay family, descendants of the legendary William Wallace, and includes beautifully cultivated gardens. Notably, in August 2025, U.S. Vice President JD Vance visited the estate, highlighting its significance as a destination for notable guests.
