Julius Vasterling Building

The Julius Vasterling Building, also known as the Seehausen Sanitary Meat Market, is a historic commercial structure in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, built around 1868. This two-part painted brick building features three storefronts and residential space above, with a stone foundation and a distinctive metal gabled roof. An addition was made in 1884, and a portion was converted to a storefront in the late 1920s. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and is situated within the Broadway Commercial Historic District, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
