Tovrea Castle

Tovrea Castle was constructed between 1928 and 1931 as a stepped concrete estate overlooking eastern Phoenix; its distinctive 'wedding cake' form is a well-known local landmark. The property sits adjacent to what became Sky Harbor and has been preserved and stabilized by the city in recent decades. The castle and surrounding cactus gardens are interpreted through guided tours and conservation efforts.
