White Stag/Portland Oregon Sign

The neon sign mounted on the White Stag Building is a longtime downtown Portland landmark that dates to the mid-20th century and has displayed different company names over time. In 1997 the sign was altered to read 'Portland Oregon' under a city agreement, and it remains a frequently photographed element of the waterfront skyline. The building and sign are associated with Portland's commercial and visual identity along the riverfront.
