Congo Gorilla Forest (Bronx Zoo)

Congo Gorilla Forest is a large, naturalistic habitat and exhibit at the Bronx Zoo that opened in 1999 and was developed by the Wildlife Conservation Society. The multi-acre installation recreates Central African rainforest environments and was designed to house western lowland gorillas along with other species from the region. The exhibit combines immersive landscaping, interpretive displays, and conservation messaging to highlight threats to gorilla populations.
