Knollwood (Worcester, Massachusetts)

Knollwood is a historic estate located at 425 Salisbury Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, originally spanning 122 acres but now reduced to 15 acres and serving as the Notre Dame Academy. Built in the 1910s for industrialist Lyman Gordon, the estate features a grand 2+1⁄2-story stucco main house with a complex hipped tile roof and elegant architectural details. The estate, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1980, includes several outbuildings and is approached via a picturesque tree-lined allée. After changing ownership multiple times, much of the estate was subdivided, but the remaining portion continues to be a significant historical site.
