Eagles Home (Evansville, Indiana)

The Eagles Home is a historic building in Evansville, Indiana, designed by architect Harry Boyle and constructed in 1912. Initially serving as a clubhouse for the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the building has a rich history, including roles as a college and law firm. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The Eagles organization, known for its contributions to social causes like Mother's Day and Social Security, expanded the building in 1940. Later, it became part of Lockyear Business College, which offered business courses and a popular salesmanship program until its closure in 1991. The building has since been converted into office space, housing various professional firms, including the Jackson Kelly law firm.
