Colisée Jean Béliveau

The Colisée Jean-Béliveau is a historic multi-purpose arena located in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada, built in 1966. Originally named Aréna Jacques-Cartier, it was renamed in 1971 to honor hockey legend Jean Béliveau after he scored his 500th career goal. With a seating capacity of 2,400 and a total capacity of 2,600 including standing room, the arena has been home to various ice hockey teams, including Le Collège Français de Longueuil, which competes in the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League. The arena's design was initially conceived by architects Major and Gagnon and completed by consulting engineers, with construction costs amounting to $924,000. It serves as a significant venue for sports and community events in the region.
