Nightingale House

The Nightingale House is a stunning example of Victorian architecture, specifically designed in the Queen Anne and Eastlake styles. Located at 201 Buchanan Street in San Francisco, this historic home was built in 1882 by architect John Marquis and named after its original owner, John Nightingale. Spanning 4400 square feet, it was designated a San Francisco landmark in 1972. The last resident, Jo Hanson, was a notable artist and arts commissioner, adding a rich cultural legacy to this iconic structure.
