Dunnellen Hall

Dunnellen Hall is a historic mansion located in Greenwich, Connecticut, originally built in 1918 for financier Daniel G. Reid as a gift for his daughter. Spanning approximately 23,000 square feet, it was once set on over 200 acres and is now one of the last intact historic estates in the area. The mansion gained notoriety when it was purchased by Leona Helmsley in 1983 for $11 million and remained her residence until her death in 2007. Following extensive renovations between 2011 and 2014, the mansion's size was reduced to about 17,000 square feet, modernizing its interior while preserving its historical significance. As of October 2019, it was listed for sale at $16.5 million, making it an intriguing site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and the legacy of its famous former owner.
