Heidelberg Project

An outdoor community art environment created by Tyree Guyton beginning in 1986 along Heidelberg Street. It consists of painted houses and found-object installations assembled from discarded items as a neighborhood-scale art installation. The project has been rebuilt and altered over time following arson attacks and city demolitions and operates as an evolving public art project.
