Sulphur Dell (historic baseball park)

Sulphur Dell was a long-running baseball park in Nashville from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century and served as the home field for the minor-league Nashville Vols. The ballpark was noted for its unusual crescent shape and a pronounced outfield slope that affected play. The original grandstands and playing field no longer exist and the site was later redeveloped for a new stadium. The location of the former Sulphur Dell is now occupied by First Horizon Park, home of the modern Nashville Sounds.
