The Apthorp

The Apthorp is a large apartment building on the Upper West Side completed in 1908 and designed in an Italian Renaissance style; it was developed as a luxury cooperative and remains a prominent residential block-long structure. The building features a central courtyard, elaborate limestone and brick facades, and period interior detailing that reflect early-20th-century apartment-house design. The Apthorp is a New York City designated landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
