Redlands (Circleville, Ohio)

Redlands is a historic farmhouse located near Circleville, Ohio, built in 1858 by prosperous farmer Jacob Valentine. This grand brick structure, made from bricks produced on the farm, showcases typical architectural features of wealthy southern Ohio estates from the pre-Civil War era, including a Greek Revival front porch and prominent fireplaces. The property also includes three outbuildings, two of which are historic. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, Redlands is celebrated for its well-preserved architecture and serves as a significant example of a gentleman's estate from the mid-19th century.
