Palace of the Legion of Honor

The Legion of Honor museum opened in 1924 as a near-replica of Paris’s Palais de la Légion d'Honneur and sits in Lincoln Park overlooking the Golden Gate. It houses European decorative arts, paintings, and sculpture, and its collection includes a cast of Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker. The museum is part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and is a cultural landmark in the Richmond/Sea Cliff area.
