Independence House

Independence House is a prominent 25-storey office building located in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. Commissioned by the British government as a tribute to Nigeria's independence in 1960, this architectural landmark has served various significant roles, including housing major corporations and the Defense headquarters during the Babangida administration. Despite its historical importance, the building has faced challenges, including a fire in 1993 that led to poor management since then, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Nigeria's post-independence history.
