Sunset Hill, also known as the D'Oench Estate, was a prominent Gold Coast estate located in the picturesque areas of Flower Hill and Plandome on Long Island, New York. Established in 1905 by architect Albert F. D'Oench and his wife Alice, the estate was renowned for its stunning views of the sunset and the New York City skyline, thanks to its elevated position. The mansion, designed by Albert, was one of the most spacious in the Manhasset area. After the deaths of its original owners, the estate was sold and eventually developed into residential subdivisions, marking a significant transformation of the area.
