Frank Rizzo Equestrian Statue (former location)

An equestrian statue of former Philadelphia mayor and police commissioner Frank Rizzo was installed outside the Municipal Services Building and was a source of long-standing public controversy over Rizzo's legacy. Amid nationwide protests and local calls for removal, the statue was taken down on June 3, 2020. The debate over the statue had included petitions and official requests for its removal for many years prior to its removal.
