Andrew–Safford House

The Andrew–Safford House, located at 13 Washington Square, is a historic property owned by the Peabody Essex Museum. Built in 1819 in the Federal style for a wealthy Russian fur merchant, it is noted for being one of the most expensive houses constructed in New England at that time.
