Palace of Fine Arts lagoon pedestrian bridge

The Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, includes a small pedestrian bridge spanning its lagoon in front of the classical colonnade. The original exposition structures were subsequently altered and later reconstructed to preserve the landmark, and the bridge with the rotunda is a frequently photographed architectural feature. The site has appeared in numerous films and public events because of its recognizable bridge-and-lagoon composition.
