Red Cube (Isamu Noguchi)

Red Cube is a painted steel sculpture by Isamu Noguchi installed in 1968 in the plaza of 140 Broadway in Lower Manhattan. The 28-foot cube is mounted on one corner so its diagonal axis points skyward and visually engages the surrounding skyscrapers and plaza. The work is widely recognized as a prominent piece of public art in the Financial District and is frequently photographed by visitors and workers in the area.
