Wilhelm Topps Minde

Wilhelm Topps Minde is a charming neoclassical residential building located in Roskilde, Denmark, opposite the historic Roskilde Cathedral. Originally constructed in 1718 as Den Langeske Stiftelse to provide housing for indigent relatives of a local merchant, the building has a rich history tied to the Lange family and their trading activities. In 1874, it was acquired by merchant Wilhelm Christian Topp, who named it in memory of his family. The architecture reflects typical 18th-century Danish market town style, featuring a distinctive red-tiled roof and a symmetrical facade. Listed as a protected building in 1980, it offers visitors a glimpse into Denmark's architectural heritage and historical development.
