Julius Street Flats

Julius Street Flats is a heritage-listed group of seven distinctive apartment blocks located in New Farm, Brisbane, Queensland, built between 1934 and the early 1950s. The buildings, including Ardrossan, Green Gables, and Syncarpia, reflect the architectural trends of the interwar period and are notable for their historical significance, having been added to the Queensland Heritage Register in 1997. Originally part of a larger land parcel owned by early Queensland pastoralists, the site transitioned from timber milling to residential development after a fire destroyed the sawmill in 1931. The flats are situated near the Brisbane River, offering a glimpse into the city's evolving residential landscape during a time of significant growth and housing demand.
