Safico Building

The Safico Building is a striking 90-metre skyscraper located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, showcasing a blend of rationalist, art-déco, and Bauhaus architectural styles. Completed in 1933 by Swiss engineer Walter Möll, it was one of the city's first skyscrapers and has housed major international media companies since the 1940s, including The Washington Post and BBC. Notably, Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda resided here briefly, penning significant works during his stay. The building's architectural significance was highlighted when it hosted the Art-Déco World Congress in 2019, attracting architects from around the globe.
