A. P. Hill Boyhood Home

The A. P. Hill Boyhood Home, located in Culpeper, Virginia, is a historic house that dates back to around 1820. Originally built by Revolutionary War General Edward Stevens, it was later expanded to its current size in the 1860s. This three-story, brick building showcases the Tuscan villa style and was once both a residence and a store. The home is significant as it belonged to the family of General A. P. Hill, a notable figure in the American Civil War, before being sold in 1862. Recognized for its historical importance, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is situated within the Culpeper Historic District, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
