Aitken University Centre

The Aitken University Centre, located on the University of New Brunswick campus in Fredericton, New Brunswick, is a multipurpose arena built in 1976. Named after Sir Max Aitken, it served as the home for UNB Reds hockey and basketball until 2011. The arena has a seating capacity of 3,278 for ice events and 4,258 for concerts. It has hosted significant sporting events, including the University Cup and CIS championships, and was home to the Fredericton Express and Fredericton Canadiens hockey teams. Additionally, it was featured in the miniseries Canada Russia '72 and will host various curling championships in 2024, making it a vibrant hub for sports and entertainment.
