Times Building (Huntsville, Alabama)

The Times Building, a historic skyscraper in Huntsville, Alabama, stands at 125 feet and features twelve stories, making it one of the tallest buildings in the area. Opened in December 1928 as the headquarters for The Huntsville Times, it has served various purposes over the years, including housing public radio stations. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Notably, it has a unique construction history, with a twelfth floor added during construction, resulting in elevators that do not reach the top. Today, it houses office spaces and educational facilities, including classrooms for J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College.
