Villa DeSales is a historic High Victorian Gothic house built between 1877 and 1878, located in Aquasco, Maryland. This impressive three-story dwelling features a unique architectural style uncommon in Southern Maryland, complemented by a complex of six 19th-century outbuildings. Notable for its decorative slate roof and well-preserved interior, the house showcases original Gothic Revival lighting and furnishings. The property also includes the only High Victorian Gothic barn in Prince George's County. Built for prominent landowners George and Fanny Bowling Forbes, Villa DeSales was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Maryland's architectural history.
