White Hall (Toano, Virginia)

White Hall, also known as Whitehall Tavern, is a historic house and former tavern located in Toano, Virginia, built in 1805 by William Geddy. This charming property, still owned by the Geddy family, served as a rest station on the route to Richmond and features a rich history of farming and craftsmanship. The house retains approximately 95% of its original window glass and much of its interior, providing a glimpse into early 19th-century life. Surviving the Civil War and various hurricanes, White Hall is a testament to resilience and heritage, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2007.
