Emmanuel Music at Emmanuel Church - long-running Bach performance tradition

Emmanuel Music, founded in 1970 by conductor Craig Smith and based at Emmanuel Church, is known for its long-running series of performances of J.S. Bach's cantatas and other Baroque works in Boston. The ensemble established a noted tradition of weekly or seasonal Bach cantata performances and has been an influential presence in the city's classical-music and choral history. Emmanuel Church continues to serve as the group's primary performance and rehearsal site.
