Raths-Apotheke (Bremen)

The Raths-Apotheke, or Council Apothecary, is a historic building located in the Market Square of Bremen, Germany. Established in 1510, it has undergone several transformations, including a significant restoration in 1958 that introduced Neobaroque gables, re-establishing the architectural harmony of the square. Originally housing a pharmacy since the 16th century, the building has a rich history marked by war damage and public debates about its preservation. Today, it features a medical center and retains its historical significance, being listed as a protected monument since 1973. Visitors can admire its striking façade and the sundial, one of Bremen's 125, while exploring the vibrant Market Square.
