Manhattan Municipal Building

The Manhattan Municipal Building at 1 Centre Street was completed in 1914 and designed by the firm McKim, Mead & White to consolidate numerous city agencies after the 1898 consolidation of New York City. The Beaux-Arts structure is crowned by the gilded statue 'Civic Fame' by Adolph Weinman and is a designated New York City landmark. It continues to serve as a major civic office building and anchors the City Hall Park civic complex.
