Old South Meeting House

Old South Meeting House is an 18th-century meetinghouse in downtown Boston that was a central gathering place for public meetings and debates in colonial Massachusetts. In 1773 it served as the primary assembly point where colonists organized the protests that culminated in the Boston Tea Party. The building now operates as a museum interpreting colonial and Revolutionary-era public life and protest. It is a designated National Historic Landmark and a stop on the Freedom Trail.
