Leicester City Police Headquarters

The Leicester City Police Headquarters, also known as the Charles Street Police Station, is a historic building in Leicester, England, constructed between 1931 and 1933. Designed by G. Noel Hill and A.T. Gooseman, it showcases distinguished civic architecture with a facade of Portland stone. Originally serving as the headquarters for the Leicester City Police, it played a significant role during World War II and was involved in notable events such as the arrest of Gordon Goody related to the Great Train Robbery. The building was closed as a police station in 2004 and has since been repurposed into offices and flats within the Colton Square Business Park, while retaining its historical significance as a Grade II listed structure.
