Hastings Community Center

The Hastings Community Center, a historic building in Hastings, Florida, was constructed in 1937 with funding from local government and the Works Progress Administration. It served various community functions, including government offices, a library, and meeting spaces for organizations like the American Legion and American Red Cross. Despite its historical significance, the building fell into disrepair after the town dissolved in 2018, leading to its demolition in 2019 due to safety concerns and high preservation costs. In 2022, efforts were made to remove it from the National Register of Historic Places.
