Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is a 102-story Art Deco skyscraper designed by the firm Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and opened on May 1, 1931. It was the world's tallest building from its completion until 1970. The building's tower lighting is regularly changed to mark holidays, cultural events, and charitable causes, making the illuminated mast a notable feature of the Manhattan skyline.
