Nooit Gedacht Hotel

Nooit Gedacht Heritage Hotel is a charming three-star hotel located in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka, at the foot of Rumassala Kanda. Built in 1735 as a country house for a Dutch Commandeur, it has a rich history, having served various roles including a merchant's residence and a British Army logistics center during World War II. The hotel features a unique blend of Dutch and Victorian architecture, with terracotta floors and a long verandah. In 2011, a modern extension was added, enhancing its amenities with a new swimming pool and bar, making it an appealing destination for both tourists and researchers interested in Sri Lankan heritage.
