Hezekiah Alexander Town House - 18th-century Germanic farmhouse

The Hezekiah Alexander Town House, built circa 1774, is the oldest surviving house in Mecklenburg County and is an example of early Germanic-influenced architecture in the region. The house and grounds are part of the Charlotte Museum of History and are preserved as a historic site illustrating 18th-century rural life. The stone and log dwelling has been studied for its construction techniques and historical significance in the Charlotte area.
