Warburton Manor

Warburton Manor, established in 1661, was the colonial home of the Digges Family, notable for their connection to Edward Digges, a former Governor of Virginia. The manor is historically significant as it was frequented by George and Martha Washington, with George celebrating his forty-third birthday there. Strategically located on the Potomac River, the site is now home to Fort Washington, designed by Pierre Charles L'Enfant in 1814, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers.
