Tayloe House (Williamsburg, Virginia)

The Tayloe House is a historic 18th-century residence located in Williamsburg, Virginia, built between 1752 and 1759. It was owned by John Tayloe II, a prominent figure in Virginia's colonial government and a member of the House of Burgesses. The house underwent restoration in the early 1950s and is now part of the Colonial Williamsburg historic area, offering visitors a glimpse into colonial life. A replica of the house was constructed in 2004 in Moorestown, New Jersey.
