New Era Building (New York City)

The New Era Building, located at 495 Broadway in Manhattan's SoHo district, is an exquisite example of Art Nouveau architecture, completed in 1893. This eight-story structure features distinctive rounded Doric columns and large windows adorned with intricate brickwork and iron details, topped by a striking copper mansard roof. Originally intended for the New Era Printing Company, it later housed the Butler Brothers, an early mail-order business. The building has a rich history, including a significant fire in 1927 that caused extensive damage.
