Rohde House

The Rohde House, located at the intersection of Strandgade and Torvegade in Copenhagen's Christianshavn neighborhood, is a historic building with roots dating back to the early 17th century. Originally part of a larger property, it was sold to statholder Frantz Rantzow in 1630 and later became home to Nahman Hiort, one of the first councilmen of the new market town. The house underwent significant expansion in the late 18th century under the Rohde family, who operated a tavern and contributed to the local wine trade.
