Joseph and Esther Phillips Plantation

The Joseph and Esther Phillips Plantation, also known as The Old Ritter Farm, is a historic site located in West Fallowfield Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Established in 1813, this plantation features a 2½-story, five-bay stuccoed limestone house designed in the Georgian 'I'-plan, complemented by a Gothic Revival-style porch added in the 1850s. Visitors can explore additional historic structures on the property, including two bank barns, a stone octagonal smokehouse, a frame carriage house, and a two-story stone spring house. The plantation was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
