Oak Hall (Columbia, Maryland)

Oak Hall was a historic farm and manor house in Columbia, Maryland, built in 1809 by Richard Dorsey. This impressive structure featured 19 rooms and nine fireplaces, serving as a family residence for the Dorsey family until its demolition in 1985. The Dorseys were known for their Confederate sympathies during the Civil War, contributing significantly to local militia efforts. Although Oak Hall was well-preserved throughout its history, it was ultimately replaced by commercial development, with the area now known as Oak Hall Business Park.
