19 Gramercy Park South

19 Gramercy Park South, also known as the Stuyvesant Fish House, is a historic four-story row house located in Manhattan's Gramercy Park neighborhood. Built in 1845, it has undergone significant transformations, including a lavish renovation by architect Stanford White in 1887, which added a ballroom and marble staircase. The building has housed notable residents, including Broadway actor John Barrymore and publicist Benjamin Sonnenberg, who turned it into a grand residence filled with art and antiques. Today, it features 37 rooms and is recognized as a contributing property to the Gramercy Park Historic District. The mansion also appears in popular culture, notably in Jack Finney's novel 'Time and Again' and the series 'Iron Fist'.
