Warburg Haus, Hamburg

The Warburg Haus in Hamburg is a unique interdisciplinary forum dedicated to art history and cultural sciences, particularly focusing on political iconography. Established in 1926, it was originally a center for research and exchange during the Weimar Republic, influencing prominent scholars like Fritz Saxl and Erwin Panofsky. After being closed in 1933 due to the rise of the Nazis, its library was relocated to London, forming part of the Warburg Institute.
