White County Asylum

White County Asylum, also known as Lakeview Home, was a historic site in Union Township, Indiana, notable for its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. Constructed between 1907 and 1908, the asylum featured a striking four-level brick building with limestone trim, designed with a central administrative section and residential wings. The property included a barn built in 1908 and was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010. Unfortunately, the building was demolished in 2017 and subsequently delisted in 2019, marking the end of its historical presence.
